Around 200 students of the Nugawela Boys' cShool in Kandy have been brought to the Thiththapajjala Hospital following an allergic reaction.

According to hospital reports around fifty students are currently recieveing inhouse treatments.
Meanwhile, fifty eight students of a primary school in the Weligapola area were hospitalised this morning following an allergic reaction.
According to the Sabaragamuwa Province Health Services Director, Dr. Kapila Kannangara the students were admitted to the hospital as they experienced various symptoms including itchiness.
He added that after taking into consideration the situation, the school has been temporarily closed down.
Dr. Kapila also noted that none of the students are in a critical condition.
